China's Nonperforming Loans Cross-border Resolution
YU DU CONSULTING
HISTORY

HISTORY

Founded in 2019, Yu Du Consulting brings together a team of seasoned professionals, each with over 15 years of experience in their respective fields. Recognizing the intricate nature of cross-border debt recovery, which involves collaboration among specialists from various domains and necessitates cooperation between entities in China and abroad, we established YU DU Consulting to facilitate agile and effective collaboration.

Initially, our focus was on debt collection in the international trade sector. On one hand, we served overseas traders, collection agencies, and law firms in recovering debts from entities within China. On the other hand, we catered to domestic traders, law firms, and export insurance companies in recovering debts from entities outside China.

As China’s economic landscape evolved, we keenly observed a growing demand in the financial sector. Chinese creditors increasingly required debt recovery from debtors who had allocated assets overseas. This shift was driven by the increasing occurrence of high-net-worth individuals emigrating from China, leading to capital outflows, coupled with the escalating debt issues within China. Financial creditors continued to pursue the recovery of debtors’ overseas assets.

Consequently, we have transitioned our focus to international debt collection for non-performing loans, aligning with the evolving needs of Chinese creditors in the global financial landscape. At Yu Du Consulting, we are committed to delivering tailored solutions and leveraging our expertise to navigate the complexities of international debt recovery, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients.

In addition to these accomplishments, we take pride in two other significant achievements.

In 2018, we established China Justice Observer, an English multi-blog platform dedicated to illuminating the intricacies of the Chinese judicial system and civil and commercial dispute resolution. It stands as one of the few information channels in China offering insights into Chinese justice in English, garnering citations from media outlets and official reports worldwide.

Building upon this foundation, in 2019, we launched CJO GLOBAL, extending our expertise to offer international traders comprehensive services in China-related international trade risk management and dispute resolution.
