Hualei Ding, a seasoned Chinese lawyer with nearly two decades of experience, specializes in international commercial dispute resolution, international trade, and corporate law. Mr. Ding has handled over a hundred cases, representing clients from diverse jurisdictions, including Germany, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Poland, Hungary, and Ghana. His practice focuses on resolving disputes arising from international construction projects, equity acquisitions, oil and gas ventures, aircraft leasing, and infrastructure developments. He adeptly represents clients in litigation before Chinese courts and in arbitration proceedings before prestigious institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), and Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC).
In addition to his advocacy work, Mr. Ding is an accomplished arbitrator, appointed by multiple arbitration institutions to serve in various arbitration cases. His dual role as counsel and arbitrator enhances his ability to navigate complex disputes with strategic insight.
Mr. Ding’s practice also encompasses foreign direct investment (FDI) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He has extensive experience advising on FDI approvals, joint venture setups, equity transfers, and investments in real estate, commercial, and hospitality sectors. His real estate expertise includes conducting due diligence for major development projects, facilitating commercial and office property transactions, and resolving disputes related to property quality and management. Mr. Ding’s familiarity with Chinese regulatory bodies, such as the Ministry of Land and Resources and urban planning commissions, enables him to provide practical and precise legal solutions.
His litigation and arbitration experience extends to joint venture disputes, international trade contract conflicts, cross-border labor disputes, and international divorce cases.
